AP5000 is a new generation of autopilots developed by our company. It is a state-of-the-art digital heading control system that reduces the workload on the operator, increases the efficiency of keeping the vessel on course, as well as improves navigational safety and fuel economy compared to manual control.
Compared to the previous generation, the new autopilot has been thoroughly upgraded. The design of the front panel was developed in accordance with all the requirements for modern ship navigational instruments from an ergonomic and aesthetic point of view. The monochrome display has been replaced by a 6.5-inch, high-contrast, high-resolution, anti-glare color screen with a 150-degree viewing angle.
The flexible architecture of the system allows the AP5000 autopilot to be easily installed on a wide variety of vessel types, from yachts and small displacement ships to large cargo ships and tankers.
The AP5000 is one of the few autopilots on the market that is certified for use on vessels with two independent rudders or steering columns.
Being a supplier of integrated solutions for marine automation, Navis provides a high speed of integration of a new autopilot and a steering system already installed on a vessel, previously supplied by our company, as well as with third-party steering systems.
